After the 2-0 defeat against Brazil National Team in the round of 16 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Carlos Vela disappeared from the calls of El Tri, something that Gerardo Martino decided to keep that way when he took over. But now, Carlos Vela decided to shut down any rumors of him potentially returning to El Tri.
Vela’s retirement announcement arrives after he found out what FMF is planning on doing
After he announced his retirement from Mexico National Team, Vela became the first player vetoed by Gerardo Martino to openly speak about his future with El Tri, but he’s not the only player that has been erased from the Aztec squad by the Argentinean coach.
Javier Hernández doesn’t lose hope of wearing El Tri colors again, although the most viable choice for him is to wait until after the World Cup is finished and FMF selects Martino’s replacement, given that “Tata” is not keen on “Chicharito”.
The 33-year-old forward still has a slight chance of being part of the final roster Gerardo Martino has for the World Cup, but for that to happen, Martino has conditioned “Chicharito” to apologize for his wrongdoings the last time he was part of El Tri and with the players with which he has conflicts.
This player will retire if “Chicharito” returns to Mexico National Team
