Mexico National Team will face their first FIFA match window of 2022 next week, when they first visit Jamaica and then they’ll receive Costa Rica and Panamá at Estadio Azteca, as they will try to return to the first place of CONCACAF Qualifiers.

Gerardo “Tata” Martino understood that he needs to call the best players available and not the ones he considers the most experienced, as last year results left El Tri without international championships and with doubts about their participation in 2022 FIFA World Cup, to be played in Qatar.
That’s why “Tata” Martino will finally call two players he had previously vetoed from playing with Mexico National Team, as he knows they’ll give him more chances of achieving the goals set for El tri in 2022: earning a spot for Qatar and, if possible, finishing first in the qualifiers.

According to reports, Martino is considering calling again PSV midfielder Erick Gutiérrez, KRC Genk left-back Gerardo Arteaga and even Tigres center back Carlos Salcedo, although the latter will only be part of the squad if Monterrey players can’t assist due to their appearance in FIFA Club World Cup.
