Luis Chávez, the midfielder, born in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, was trained in the youth academy of Pachuca. He entered the youth categories of 'the Tuzos' in 2009, where he tested to join the youth team, where he started playing for the U-15 categories, having good performances and receiving recognition for being the player of the tournament, he was scouted by an agent of Club Tijuana, where he was invited to be with the Xolos' youth team.

The difficult stage at Xolos de Tijuana

He had to go to Mexico City, to the U17, because there were two teams in that category. Because of the distance, one team was based in Tijuana and the other in Mexico City, which was the team that traveled to cover away games.

That gamble could have reduced him to ruins because he abandoned school, the clubhouse, and what he had earned in Pachuca, then in Xolos the player had to stay in other people's houses, sometimes with teammates, sometimes with relatives, and he went from one side to the other.

Luis Chávez grew with maturity. Life asked him for tension and he gave more soccer in return. Luis was very bad at school and played soccer until he was sent to Tijuana and made his debut.

For the 2014 Clausura, he did pre-season training with the first team, and after passing the trials, he was registered with Xolos to be with the first team.

Back to Pachuca

On June 14, 2019, Chávez's signing with Pachuca was made official, becoming the fourth reinforcement for the Apertura 2019.

"I think it was the board who called me back because at that time Martín Palermo was managing the team, who didn't even know where he played, so I feel it was like coming home called by the parents." said the player.

His debut with the Hidalgo team was on July 26, 2019, on matchday 2 of the Apertura 2019, coming on as a substitute at minute 74' for Erick Aguirre, the match ended tied at three goals. His first goal with the club was scored on August 16 of the same year on matchday 5 at minute 75' in the match where his team beat Puebla 0-4.

For the Clausura 2022, the player has established himself under Guillermo Almada, who has the team in first place in Liga MX. In addition, the player from Jalisco has contributed 4 goals and an assist in the tournament, playing as a midfielder.
