With only 30 open spots available in Mexico National Team roster for the upcoming FIFA Qualifiers, it’s no surprise that a lot of players were left out of the possibility of wearing El Tri colors in the upcoming games against Jamaica, Costa Rica and Panamá.

Although some people might not understand how the Argentinian coach keeps calling players like Henry Martín, who hasn’t had a relevant game with El Tri in a long time, especially now that the lack of goals seems like a problem growing by the day.
One of the players left out of the roster was Mexican American Santiago Muñoz, who currently plays for Newcastle U-23, although an injury has kept him away from the pitches. Recent reports indicate that he already started training with the senior squad, something that could mean he’ll soon debut in Premier League.

Santiago Muñoz was born in El Paso, Texas, in 2002, from Mexican parents. So far, he hasn’t debut in an official match for Mexico National Team nor played on three friendly matches, which allows him to play for USMNT if he decides to do, as he hasn’t closed the door yet to the US.
