The Argentinian coaching school is something that Mexican soccer likes, since several managers from that country have worked in various clubs and in the Mexican National Team. Now it seems that this formula is going to be repeated.
According to information from ESPN, Gerardo Martino will resign from the Mexican National Team at the end of the 2022 Qatar World Cup to return to Argentina and work for Boca Juniors. The FMF is already working on his replacement and an Argentinian is one of the options.
Goodbye Martino, what Mohamed asks to be the new DT of the Tri before the World Cup
Martino already has Sanchez's replacement after being exposed against Man. City
One of the main options to replace Gerardo Martino in the Mexican National Team is Antonio Mohamed, an Argentinian coach who has just been fired from Atlético Minero in Brazil, this person knows the MX League because he was playing and training in various clubs in the League.
But Antonio Mohamed is not the only option to take the place that Gerardo Martino is going to leave. The other candidate is Guillermo Almada, Pachuca’s coach and who has had a great job in recent years, the Uruguayan has declared that he wants to coach the Mexican National Team.
