There is still one last chance for Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández to return to the Mexican national team and fight for a place in 'Tata' Martino's final roster for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

According to information from TUDN, Chicharito and Gerardo Martino will meet in person in the coming days after having had a first contact by telephone a few weeks ago.

That meeting will be fundamental to see if Chicharito returns to El Tri a few months before the World Cup. If the conversation is fruitful, there is a possibility that Javier Hernandez will be called up for the friendly against Paraguay to be played in Atlanta on August 31.

From there, Chicharito, who played his last game with Mexico in September 2019, would have three months to convince 'Tata' Martino to include him in the final list for Qatar 2022.
