Since Raúl Jiménez arrived in Wolverhampton, he established himself as the Mexican top scorer in any league. He also competed with some of the best Premier League strikers to win the golden boot and became Wolves historical top scorer in the English top flight, with 52 goals in 132 matches.

But since the scary head injury that kept him out of the pitches for over 9 months, Jiménez hasn’t recovered his scoring streak, as he has scored just 4 goals on the 22 matches that he’s played this season. His lack of aim has also been showed during Mexico National Team matches, as he’s scored only 2 goals since returning to the pitches.
The reason has to do more with the head protector that he wears during the matches, as he looks uncomfortable with it and has even taken it off on some occasions. According to medical reports, the 30-year-old striker will have to wear it until he retires, as it helps to prevent a new injury that could become life-threatening.
Raúl Jiménez is under contract with Wolves until the end of the 2023-24 season, and even if he has become a fan favorite at Molineux, Raúl is still on the radar of other Premier League teams, who will have to pay $25 million if they want to acquire his economic rights.
