It’s no lie to say that Hirving “Chucky” Lozano is one of the best Mexican players that are currently in Europe, as his explosiveness has helped Napoli multiple times to earn the results to keep fighting at the top of Serie A.
Liverpool are interested in signing Hirving Lozano after knowing that Napoli wants to sell him
Although he hasn’t had a smooth stint with the Azzurri, he’s finishing his third season playing in one of Europe’s top five leagues, which added to the two seasons he played for Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven, he has the qualifications to make the jump to a bigger team.
In recent months, Lozano’s future with Napoli has been hanging by a threat, as the injuries added to the lack of trust that he has from Luciano Spalletti have made him an option to be transferable once the season is over.
Reports suggest that Napoli is willing to sell him over the summer, as they already agreed on terms with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who Spalletti sees as Lozano’s replacement. And even if for a while he was linked to FC Barcelona, it seems like the Blaugranas are going to move in a different direction.
It seemed like FC Barcelona was returning to their former selves once the year started, as Xavi Hernández found a way to make them play with the high intensity that they had when Xavi was still a player and not their coach.
But the recent results, added to the economic problems they’re going through have made Joan Laporta decide to not have big investments this offseason, as they already decided to not exercise the option to buy Adama Traoré, who now will have to return to Premier League side Wolves.
In Lozano’s case, they have decided to resume negotiations with Ousmane Dembélé, whose contract expires at the end of the season, instead of looking for an outside player to replace him, as that would mean that they won’t have to invest more.
Reports inform that “Chucky” Lozano is closely followed by Wolverhampton Wanderers, although they will have to find a way to accommodate both him and Traoré. Lozano has been linked in the past with a few La Liga clubs too.
