Hirving “Chucky” Lozano seems to be recovering his shape with Napoli, as he’s become a figure in the recent games of the Azzurri, given that Luciano Spalletti has given him the confidence to earn back his spot in the lineup.

Lozano has been playing at a similar level to the one he had when Gennaro Gattuso was still coaching Napoli, as he was a much stricter coach but every player on the team answered when Gattuso gave them minutes on the pitch.

And now that the Mexican winger has fully recovered from the injury that suffered back in February with the Mexican national team, he’s showing why he’s considered as one of the best Mexican players in Europe nowadays.

That’s why Napoli is seriously considering selling him now that he’s on his best shape, as they know they can earn more money than what they were asking a few weeks ago, when they had set a price near the $38.5 million.

What’s the new price they are asking for him?

Aurelio di Laurentis, Napoli’s owner, knows that “Chucky” Lozano will leave Serie A after the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which is why they are trying to get ahead and agree to a permanent transfer during the summer.

By doing that, they’re not only trying to earn back the $46 million they invested in him back in 2019, when he arrived from Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven, but also win an extra income to increase the coffers of the club.

That’s why they’re asking for at least $55 million, a sum that only the top European clubs can pay, as they know that Lozano, even if he’s happy in Napoli and the current project, will only leave the club to one of the biggest teams.

Who are the teams that can acquire him?

In recent days, Lozano has been linked to teams in Premier League and La Liga, especially with three top teams of the Spanish top flight, starting with Atlético Madrid, who is looking for a player to replace Luis Suárez; Real Madrid, as he’s familiar with Carlo Ancelotti, and FC Barcelona, who are looking for a replacement for Ousmane Dembélé.
