The Mexican national soccer team has always been surrounded by controversy, but it is hard to remember a time when this controversy was as continuous as in the current era of El Tri, and as a sign that this controversy can have a reach that one cannot imagine, Roberto Carlos came out in defense of Chicharito and sent a message to Gerardo Martino, coach of El Tri.

Since Martino and Javier Hernández Balcázar broke off relations in 2019, there has been a lot of tension between them and although they have not seen each other's faces for a long time, the doubts about the reasons why Martino has not called Hernández Balcázar back as well as Chicharito's attitudes have not exactly helped the atmosphere to improve between the two.

A few weeks ago it was even revealed by the Mexican press that Hernandez Balcazar wanted to meet with Gerardo Martino to try to reconcile, but the player wanted the meeting to take place according to his conditions, something that the coach of El Tri did not accept. However, today a surprising event took place when Roberto Carlos, the legend of the Brazilian national soccer team and Real Madrid, entered the conflict.

This is how Roberto Carlos defended Chicharito and the message he sent to Martino

In a surprise move, the legendary Roberto Carlos came out in defense of Chicharito and said that he would talk to Gerardo Martino to find out what is going on since the player said that he misses seeing Javier Hernéndez wearing the uniform of the Mexican national soccer team.

"We will talk to the Míster (Martino), I see what happens and then I will tell you. Chicharito is a great player, but we don't know what's going on. I, at least, don't know what's going on. The legendary Brazilian player's words sent a strong message to Martino: Chicharito should be on the Mexican national team.
