Gerardo “Tata” Martino keeps raising questions even if he managed to earn 7 out of the 9 available points in the past FIFA match window, although Mexico National Team barely won both games and couldn’t score against Costa Rica.
After learning that El Tri will face Brazil, this player decided to represent the Aztecs
Some people are even questioning if it’s a good decision to keep him before Mexico National Team faces the last CONCACAF match window, as he has lost three straight games against USMNT and his stay in El Tri’s bench would mean taking time from a new project that could consolidate El Tri as a real contender for Qatar 2022.
That’s why in FMF they’re already looking for someone to replace “Tata” Martino, although it’s yet to be seen if it will happen before or after the games against USMNT, Honduras and El Salvador. For now, Miguel Herrera is the favorite to return in El Tri’s dugout, but only if he apologizes to Christian Martinoli.
Miguel Herrera has been labeled as a problematic coach that sometimes has anger management issues, something that was acknowledged after the 2015 Gold Cup, when he faced Christian Martinoli on an airport after the TV commentator criticized his job. Herrera currently is going through a campaign to clean his name and apologizing to him will be the biggest step to get closer of El Tri once again.
