The returns and news of the Mexican national team's call-up list

As it was announced yesterday, there were two returning players on the Mexican national team's call-up list, and one of them completely unexpected due to his relationship with Gerardo Martino.

That is the case of Gerardo Arteaga who was called up by Martino for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games but refused to attend the commitment due to personal reasons.

The other great return to the Mexico squad is that of Diego Lainez, who due to the injury he suffered in the Olympic Games could not be in the previous phase of the World Cup qualifiers.

And undoubtedly the surprise of the call-up was Julián Araujo, a player who plays in the MLS with the LA Galaxy and was on the verge of playing for the USMNT, but Martino's convincing efforts, together with the player's memories of Mexico, made him decide to play for El Tri.

And in this way, Araujo fulfills his lifelong dream of being called up to play for Mexico's squad to fight for a chance to play in a World Cup.

Jamaica national football Team vs. Mexico national football team lineups

The Aztecs and the Reggae Boyz will clash next Thursday, January 27 to try to win and, in the case of the Jamaicans, to get the chance to go to the World Cup. Mexico will be aware with Jamaica starting great players.

But in the case of the Mexicans, it is quite the opposite: Gerardo Martino's squad is obliged to win and seek not only the ticket but to be the leader of the competition.

And this is a debt that the Mexican team has been carrying since last year, when its performance not only left much to be desired but also jeopardized the possibility of going to the World Cup in Qatar 2022.

Therefore, Martino will have to pay special attention to the team coached by Theodore Whitmore, a squad that although they were defeated by the Mexican national team in the last qualifiers, will now seek to take advantage of the bad moment that El Tri is going through.
