The coach's exact statements were as follows:

Soto wasted no time in the interview to address the current situation of the Costa Rican national soccer team and explained that from his perspective, every game played against Mexico is like a final. 

"It is another final for Costa Rica, I think it is determinant for us on Sunday to add to continue with that World Cup dream," said the former player but also explained his point of view on what is happening with the "Ticos" at present with the World Cup Qualifying. 

Soto said that the issue Costa Rica is facing is a generational change that is still in process.

Costa Rica is currently in fifth place in the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers, where it has 12 points, five points behind Mexico.
