Mexico U20 vs Costa Rica U20 in Toluca: call-up confirmed with Marcelo Flores

The Mexican U20 National Team, coached by Luis Pérez, will take advantage of the first FIFA Date of 2022 to play two friendly matches at the facilities of the Mexican Soccer Federation in Toluca, as part of its preparation for the Concacaf Pre-World Cup to be held in the summer. The list includes Arsenal youth star, Marcelo Flores.

The Federation announced that El Tri will play against Costa Rica in both matches. The first match will be on January 29 at 11:00 am and the second on February 1 at 10:00 am. 

 

For these matches, Luis Pérez will be able to count on all the players who are abroad, such as Marcelo Flores and Santiago García, who are in Europe with Arsenal and Villarreal, respectively, as well as Christian Torres, Jonathan Pérez and Antonio Leone, who play in MLS.

This category is preparing for the CONCACAF Pre-World Cup to be held in Honduras in the summer of this year, seeking a ticket to the World Cup in Indonesia to be played at the end of 2022. 

It should be noted that two direct tickets to the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024 will also be up for grabs at the U20 Pre-World Cup.
