El Tata acknowledged that Diego Lainez needs many more minutes of competition and although he has the possibility of returning to América to fulfill that project, the Mexican national team coach maintained that he should stay in the European leagues.

MLS would also be convincing the young Mexican to arrive and get minutes. Unlike what happens in Betis, where he is only on the bench, Martino warns that if he wants to be in the World Cup in Qatar, his destination must always be Europe.

Which European clubs are interested in Diego Lainez?

One of the teams interested is Bayer Leverkusen, but Javier Aguirre's Mallorca or AEK Athens, where Matias Almeyda is currently managing, are also in the running.
