It was obvious that something was going on with Gerardo Martino. The Argentinean coach had often been indifferent to what was happening with the Mexican team, and now the big reason why he is still in charge of El Tri has been revealed.

It turns out that Gerardo Martino has resigned on more than one occasion. According to journalist Felipe Morales, the Argentinean would have presented his resignation after the match against Canada in the qualifiers and later, after learning of the dismissal of Gerardo Torrado.
