Luis Enrique was one of the big casualties of the 2022 World Cup. The Spanish coach was dismissed after the end of Spain's participation in Qatar. Now, the Asturian coach is speaking out about the possibility of coaching Mexico for the 2026 process.

The Mexican national team is looking to establish itself in a great way for the 2026 World Cup where they will host the tournament. As a result, a long list of coaches have been set for their potential arrival.  Among them, Luis Enrique, who is already communicating his desire for 2023.

In an interview with Ibai Llanos, Luis Enrique stated that he is happy for everything he achieved in his 4 years as coach of the Spanish national team and confessed that he believes he was up to the challenge. However, the Asturian coach has confessed that he has something different in mind for 2023.
