Mexico National Team has jeopardized their ticket to Qatar after the 0-0 draw against Costa Rica on Sunday evening. Currently El Tri stands third in CONCACAF Qualifiers, tied with USMNT in points and just a point ahead of Panama, their next rival.
A new name is added to the mix of possible replacements for Martino
If El Tri doesn’t manage to beat Panama, Gerardo Martino might be coaching his last game as the Aztec manager, especially if they become fourth on the standings, which will mean that they’ll have to dispute a playoff in order to access the 2022 FIFA World Cup. And just like that, names have started to surge to replace Martino.
Juan Carlos Osorio has never closed the door to coaching Mexico National Team and doesn’t see with bad eyes returning for a second stint, as he knows the players, the environment, and is capable of turning things around.
According to reports, Juan Carlos Osorio would accept returning to Mexico National Team bench, but if FMF manage to fulfill two requests. The first one will be a raise from his previous salary, and the second one is to keep the media away from him, as he doesn’t want to be involved in more scandals.
Martino finally understood and will stop calling Funes Mori
