Carlos Acevedo returns to the Mexican national team. The Santos goalkeeper was called at the last minute to be part of 'El Tri' for the next FIFA date, due to the injury suffered by Jonathan Orozco last Sunday in the Xolos vs Juarez game.
Hirving Lozano will be rested with the Mexican national team after not playing for Napoli
The player confirmed his call to the media this Monday morning. As he points out in a video published by La Afición, the people from the National Teams contacted him after learning about the condition of the goalkeeper of the Tijuana squad.
"It was a surprise. Yesterday I was at home and received the call. I'm very happy and very excited to be able to go to Mexico," said the Santos player, who will be looking to fill the eye of Tata Martino to be considered for more call-ups.
Chivas player, Piojo Alvarado, was also included at the last minute in Tata Martino's most recent call-up to cover Rodolfo Pizarro's place. According to Mediotiempo, Chivas told the striker that he will not travel with them this Monday to play two friendlies in the United States, as he will have to report to the Mexican National Team as soon as possible.
Rayados player Rodolfo Pizarro will not be able to play for El Tri, which will play against the United States on March 24. So far, the player's injury is unknown, however, he is not feeling well physically, which is why the decision was made to remove him from the call-up list.
Orozco, on the other hand, began to feel discomfort in his thigh at the 35th minute of Xolos vs Juárez. Although the first half ended, Gil Alcalá came on in the second half to defend the border team's goal.
These were the players selected by Gerardo Martino for Mexico.
