Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández might be one of the most renowned Mexican players from the XXI Century, as he was signed by Manchester United in 2010 and played with Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid. Now he plays in the MLS, as he’s entering his third season with LA Galaxy.

But back when he was playing in Europe, Hernández refused to play for Mexico National Team a couple of times, prioritizing his luxurious lifestyle over the importance of El Tri. Although things have changed in the last few years, as he now begs to have another chance after Gerardo Martino decided to veto him.

As if that wasn’t enough for him, LA Galaxy just made his life inside the club much harder, as they decided to sign Douglas Costa, who will be direct competition for ‘Chicharito’ on the offensive side, something the Galaxy needed to improve this season, given the disappointing results that left them out of playoffs in 2021.

What’s ‘Chicharito’ Hernández market value right now?

The 33-year-old striker has seen his market value diminish exponentially since 2016, where his economical rights were worth $28.7 million and belonged to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. According to Transfermarkt, Hernández’s current value is set at only $2.3 million.
