A lot has been said about Gerardo “Tata” Martino’s soccer system and the decisions he makes as Mexico National Team coach, as he’s been criticized for calling the same players for every match window, even if they don’t have at the needed level to be wearing El Tri colors.
Gerardo Martino doesn’t learn from his mistakes with El Tri
Martino is also questioned about El Tri’s recent performances, as the team has slowly lost their shape and seem without ideas whenever they’re on the pitch, something that should not be happening as the players supposedly know how to play together as they’re always the same.
That’s why FMF and Yon de Luisa are considering replacing Martino before the last FIFA match window arrives, so the new coach has enough time to build a team according to what El Tri needs and capable of being contenders in the World Cup.
FMF doesn’t give up on their pursue of Jaime Lozano and would be willing to pay the release clause that Necaxa placed on his contract, as he just joined them for Clausura 2022. The only thing Lozano will ask is to let him continue the process he had with El Tri U-23, as they’re the players he knows the best.
If this coach arrives in El Tri, Carlos Vela could come out of retirement
