Hugo Sanchez is the best Mexican soccer player in history, he was a star in Europe, conquered more than anyone as our ambassador in Real Madrid, and is considered one of the best center forwards in history, but he never transcended in the World Cups, although that apparently was "the fault of the country where he was born".

Although he has historically been a tireless defender of Mexicans in soccer and in all areas, assuring that they have the character, talent, and mentality to be the best in the world, the truth is that Hugo Sanchez denied that because he is Mexican he was not able to win a World Cup.

Hugo blamed the Mexican national team for not achieving anything important

El Macho said the unthinkable when he said that with any other country he would have won a World Cup, but "unfortunately" he had to play with the Tricolor, all this in the midst of a debate on ESPN in which he shared discussion with José Ramón Fernández, Rafael Puente and José Luis Sánchez Solá some time ago.

"If I had played for another national team and not Mexico, I would have won the World Cup, but I had to play for Mexico," was the argument of the Pentapichichi, who also argued that if his numbers are not as striking as those of other compatriots with the Mexican green jersey, it is because he never played in the so-called "grinder" matches.

"Your time in the national team was gray, to be honest," Puente responded to the historic goal scorer, who was visibly annoyed and demanded an explanation as to why he was bringing this up and accused the former goalkeeper of being a " provoker", while also referring that to Joserra.
