He’s just 18 but he already plays for the U-23 of one of the most important teams in England, as he has his debut today in the 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion U-23 team, where he played 16 minutes after jumping in the pitch at 74’.

Marcelo Flores debut with Arsenal senior team is getting closer by the day, not just because he’s already playing one step below the senior team, but he’s constantly called to train with the first team by Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta.
Last year he also had his debut with Mexico National Team, but Gerardo “Tata” Martino made him travel more than 6 thousand miles just to give him nine minutes in the pitch, something that could have not sit well with the 18-year-old striker.

Canada National Team still dreams of having Marcelo Flores in their squad as they called him again to a series of friendly matches they’ll have in January. Although he already debuted with Mexico it was in a friendly match, which means he could still ask FIFA for a permission to join the North American team if he wanted to.
