Not long ago, fans hadn’t even heard his name, but after a couple of seasons having great performances with LAFC, people are starting to wonder if he might be the striker Mexico National Team needs, especially after the urgency of having a generational change on a World Cup year.

He started his process with US Soccer Academy, playing for the U-15 squad, but later he decided to defend Mexico National Team, where he’s been part of the U-17 and U-20 squads. So far, he’s played 6 games for El Tri and managed to score one goal, all during Revelations Cup that was played last year.
Christian Torres is called to be Carlos Vela replacement, not only in Los Angeles FC, where he currently is mentored by Vela, but also in Mexico National Team, as he has stated he’s Mexican from his father side, who was born in Michoacán, and is happy to represent El Tri on the pitches.

Born in Fontana, California, in 2004, Torres joined LAFC Academy team in 2018, and 18 months later he signed his contract with the senior team, where he has played 9 games and managed to score one goal. With only 17 years, his market value is set in $400,000, according to Transfermarkt.
