PSV Eindhoven overcame a one-goal deficit in two minutes to win the Dutch Cup Final on Sunday against Ajax, in a match in which Mexican midfielder Erick Gutiérrez was the protagonist.
Chicharito said these important words about Chivas and the Mexican National Team
The Pachuca youth academy player was in charge of tying the score in the 48th minute after the Amsterdam team had taken the lead in the 23rd minute with a goal by Ryan Gravenberch.
'El Guti' joined the attack from a free kick in favor of the Farmers and headed in at the far post to make it 1-1 with a powerful header that left the Ajax goalkeeper with no chance.
Just two minutes later, PSV were in front of goal once again, and Cody Gakpo scored the second goal of the evening at the Feyenoord Stadium in the 50th minute.
And although there was plenty of time to look for an equalizer, the Ajax team was unable to get past the Eindhoven defense, which was up to the task in the two clearest opportunities it managed to generate, especially in the final stretch of the game.
Edson Álvarez was a starter for the Amsterdam team and came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute, when his team was losing the game; while Guti played the entire match, in which PSV won again this tournament, after 10 years of not doing so.
He’s scored more than 100 goals and will be the perfect replacement for Raúl Jiménez in El Tri
