Chivas de Guadalajara continues with the preseason and this time defeated Santos Laguna 3-1 with a double goal by striker José Juan Macías.

The red and white team presented a starting lineup in order for the new players to adapt to Ricardo Cadena's system, in which José Juan Macías played a key role in the match, scoring two of the three goals that defeated Los Laguneros.

This kind of performance speaks very well of the striker's recovery after the injury that prevented him from staying in Europe. Now, Jose Juan Macias is hoping to be spotted again by Gerardo Martino and make the 26-man squad for Qatar.

Would Martino call Macias in place of Henry Martin in El Tri?

Although it is too soon to know the definitive list of the Mexican national team for Qatar 2020, according to ESPN, Gerardo Martino is considering calling Jose Juan Macias for the last call-up in August and then making the final decision on which strikers to take to the World Cup.
