No one understands why Gerardo Martino keeps calling this player
With one more game on the current CONCACAF Qualifiers match window against Panama on Wednesday, a game of vital importance as the winner will mostly confirm their ticket to Qatar, Gerardo “Tata” Martino finally realized that El Tri needs a striker that can actually score.
Although he won’t be able to call him until the next FIFA match window, “Tata” Martino has decided that he’ll give another chance to Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, who scored 17 goals last season for LA Galaxy in MLS, something that El Tri needs urgently.
Gerardo Martino stopped calling Hernández in 2019, after the LA Galaxy forward broke the trust and rules that the Argentinian coach had imposed to El Tri players in order to avoid distractions, something that didn’t work for “Chicharito”, who sneaked women into camp.
