Javier Hernández was unable to score in the match against Chicago Fire, but he was forceful in the press, as Chicharito said these important words about Chivas and the Mexican National Team.
Gerardo Martino finally reveals why he doesn't call up Javier Hernández
The LA Galaxy striker was unable to score against Xerdán Shaqiri's club, in a match in which both clubs ended 0-0.
But what has drawn more attention to the player this week were not his actions, but his statements, as he sent two important messages through the microphones of the press, one addressed to Chivas and the other to El Tri.
Due to the fact that the player and his club will face Chivas in the Leagues Cup Showcase event, the player dedicated these words of love to his former team, Club Deportivo Guadalajara.
"For them, it will be very special in the stadium where we are going to play it, what it represents, what for me are the two best teams in their respective countries. Chivas is the best and the most winning team in Mexico and Galaxy is the best organization in MLS," said the Mexican.
Regarding the match itself, he assured me: "Yes, it will be very special to face my first team, the one that gave me the opportunity in my soccer life, that gave me everything, and that I also gave everything".
Regarding the fact that the Leagues Cup is the opportunity for Liga MX and MLS clubs to face each other, the Mexican striker affirmed that the event in which LA Galaxy vs Chivas and Club América vs LAFC will play is something very important.
This is because it helps more people in the United States to get to know and fall in love with soccer, in addition to the fact that it will be very useful for Major League Soccer to grow stronger.
In an interview with the media prior to the match against the Chicago Fire, the player was once again asked if he would like to return to the Mexican National Team and his answer left his fans excited once again.
"I will continue to give my all because my head is one hundred percent in this sporting project (the Galaxy). The day I don't want to go to the national team, I will retire," said the Mexican striker.
So far, El Tri fans are still unhappy that Gerardo Martino has not called up Hernández Balcázar, and even more so with the lack of goals in the Mexican squad.
And this problem was reflected in the last Concacaf World Cup Qualifying Round, so in addition to El Tri fans, other soccer personalities have spoken about the need for Chicharito's return to the Mexican National Team.
And among those who have spoken on the subject is even Hernandez Balcazar's coach at the LA Galaxy, Gregg Vanney, who said what everyone in Mexico has been waiting for.
In a recent press conference, the coach was clear and affirmed that Chicharito wants to return to wear the Mexican National Team uniform.
"These are decisions that depend on the federation. They have to choose because they will be responsible for the results. What he (coach Gerardo Martino) has is an opportunity, he has a fit striker. He will decide if it is a good opportunity. I know that Javier has that desire".
Thus, it is very clear that all that is needed for Chicharito to return to El Tri is for him to be called up by Gerardo Martino.
