Mexico National Team is on the brink of elimination if they don’t win tonight’s game against Panama on the last match of the World Cup Qualifiers, as the Panamanians are just one point behind El Tri and are looking to surprise everyone.

Mexican Football Federation is already looking for a coach to replace Gerardo “Tata” Martino if he fails to beat Panama in Estadio Azteca, given the recent results of El Tri and the players he’s called, as they’re not the best suited to wear El Tri colors.

Carlos Vela, who hasn’t been part of a call since El Tri was eliminated from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, knows about the possibilities of Martino’s destitution and is willing to return to play for Mexico National Team, but only if FMF hires the coach he wants.

 

Who does Carlos Vela think will be the best option to coach El Tri?

Given that Carlos Vela plays in MLS, he’s familiar with Matías Almeyda’s playing system, which is why he thinks “El Pelado” would be the best option for El Tri, especially as he’s ready to leave San José Earthquakes and has been open about wanting to coach in Mexico again.
