Fury was unleashed last week when Gerardo Tata Martino was caught on a visit to his native country talking to Argentina's national team coach, Lionel Scaloni. The fan claims that Martino is not paying attention to the Mexican league and has nothing to talk about with his next World Cup rival. However, the issue goes beyond that.

According to Diario Olé, the reason Martino traveled to the South American country is because he is all set to sign with a new team in the South American country's league. According to the Argentine press, Gerardo Martino's assistant confirmed that Boca Juniors wants to close the coach's contract.

That is why Martino does not see Mexican soccer and wants to look beyond his interests, which would be offered to the important Argentine team. It seems that Martino is relaxed because he knows that he will be chosen to coach Mexico in Qatar 2022, but he is already thinking about his career after that tournament.

The reason why Martino must leave

The Mexican national team has no improvement a few months before the World Cup. The coach does not see the local league and therefore is not aware of elements that could strengthen the team for the competition in Qatar. The sacred cows have already secured their place and the fans no longer believe in a memorable performance in the next World Cup.
