Mexico National Team performances in the last year have been discouraging and upsetting, to say the least, not only because El Tri lost its place as the Giant of CONCACAF, as now USMNT and Canada MNT have defeated them in the race to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Although the players share the responsibility of the mediocre performances, they’ve been giving during the FIFA match window, Gerardo Martino is the head of El Tri, meaning he’s the one that has been criticized the most, and rightfully, as he repeatedly choses the same players that don’t work for El Tri.

But now, Alejandro Irraragori, who is the owner counselor of the General Assembly of the Mexican Football Federation, already has a prospect in mind to replace Martino after the disgraceful performances of El Tri.

 

Who is Irraragori considering replacing Martino with?

The owner of Grupo Orlegi, who manage both Santos Laguna and Atlas, considers that Guillermo Almada, former Santos coach and currently in the bench of CF Pachuca, has the will and experience needed to coach a National Team like El Tri.
