Everyone knew Lorenzo Insigne was not going to be a Napoli player next season, but the official announcement by the Canadian team saying the right-winger will join the MLS during the summer has Napoli’s management looking for his replacement.

And the answer could reside right inside Napoli’s roster, in a player that already has won the fans love and, when his in the pitch, is a threat to the opponent defensives with his explosiveness and ball control. They won’t have to look anywhere else as the Mexican right-winger is set to become Il Capitano’s replacement.
Napoli is considering giving Hirving “Chucky” Lozano a 1-year contract extension that would make him a Napolitan until 2025, which would mean he also have a raise for the next season worth up to $6 million per year, if he decides to stay with the Serie A team.

Hirving Lozano knows that he has the option to become Napoli’s next referent after Insigne leaves Serie A side. He’s considering the option of having a long career with the Azzurri, but with other teams in the mix trying to acquire him, the decision will be tough for the 26-year-old.
