In Tigres one thing is clear: Carlos Salcedo won’t play another minute for Los Felinos. Even Miguel Herrera knows it and that’s why he stopped calling him to be part of the 18-men squad that week-to-week jumps on the pitch in Liga MX games.

If Tigres hasn’t made official his departure to the MLS, as Salcedo already has agreed terms to join Toronto FC, is because the other player involved in the trade, Yeferson Soteldo, is refusing to arrive in Tigres, although Toronto is on board sending him to Liga MX, as they no longer have space for him in the squad due to Lorenzo Insigne’s arrival in the summer.
One of the main reasons of Soteldo’s refusal to sign with Los Felinos has to do with Miguel Herrera, as the Mexican coach is known for shutting problems down from the beginning, as he did with Jérémy Ménez during his short stint in Club América
The 24-year-old Venezuelan left winger join MLS side Toronto FC last season out of Santos FC on a permanent move worth $7 million. He’s under contract with Toronto until 2024, although they haven’t quite find him a place on the starting XI, which is why they’re looking to move on from him.
So far, the Venezuela international has played a total of 26 games for Toronto, although only 24 were in MLS. He was a starter in 19 of them and he was able to score four goals and assist on six times, which are not impressive numbers for a player of his caliber.
