The "Larcaboys" did it again and with goals from Lucas Maia and Juan Segovia, Puebla defeated Querétaro and managed to maintain the lead in Liga MX 2022.
Is Nicolás Larcamón the coach Mexico National Team needs?
In this way La Franja is surprising all and sundry in the Clausura 2022 with a winning pace by having in the first 4 matchdays, only 1 draw against Club America and 3 victories against Tigres, Xolos de Tijuana, and now Querétaro.
Apparently, Nicolás Larcamón's game plan is proving to be more than enough to contain the strongest teams in the league that, as in the case of Club America, have so far not been able to perform as they should.
Despite playing away, Puebla wasted no time and took the lead in the second minute of the match when, in a first attack by the "Larcaboys" on Antony Silva's goal, a ball was left loose in the area.
And it would be Maia who would get to the ball to score the first goal of the match.
Later, in the 32nd minute, Juan Pablo Segovia took charge of increasing the lead. The Argentine defender shot inside the area to score the second goal, which ended up being the definitive one on the scoreboard.
With this victory, the team coached by Nicolás Larcamón continues with an unstoppable pace and as a real locomotive, no one has been able to stop them.
In their first Liga MX duel, many people thought that the most epic thing they would do in the Clausura 2022 was to prevent Club America from beating them.
But in their second match against Tigres, they showed that their coach's game plan, added to their talents, was more than enough to aspire to the title.
They would later confirm this idea with a win against Xolos de Tijuana, who, although not a powerful team like the Aguilas or Tigres, is a worthy rival.
But in the end, Puebla imposed their conditions and ended up beating Xolos 3-1. And today they have confirmed that they are serious candidates for the title because their tactical scheme can use the individuality of each player at times.
But what we saw today was a team that was organized in attack and defended well. Will this be the year that Puebla breaks its 32-year title drought?
We have already seen what has happened with teams like Cruz Azul and Atlas, so the case of La Franja is beginning to attract attention.
