Angulo was playing for Atlas in the Apertura 2021, a tournament in which he was champion with the Zorros, but it is now that he is playing for Tigres that he is attracting more attention than ever in Liga MX followers.
Jesús Alberto Angulo Uriarte is a Mexican footballer who currently plays as a defender and his current team is Tigres of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León of the First Division of Mexico.
But last season the player was part of Atlas, a team that managed to break a curse of remaining for more than 70 years without winning a league title in the Mexican tournament.
Angulo was not only an important part of this achievement, but he was also part of the Santos Laguna team that was crowned in the Clausura 2018 by beating the Diablos Rojos del Toluca.
So titles are commonplace for this player who now, stands out in the Tigres rearguard.
Jesús Angulo was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico on January 30, 1998, so he is currently 24 years old, and despite his youth, he already has two Liga MX championships to his name.
In addition, the player began his career as a very young player in 2012, when he played with the Aguilas de la UAS in Mexico's Third Division.
Later he would be called up with the Third Division National Team in the Under 15 Tournament organized by the Mexican Federation of Association Football.
And after seeing his outstanding participation, he would be recruited by Club Santos Laguna to be part of their basic forces.
In February 2015, Angulo was called to participate for the second time in the Viareggio Cup, a tournament in which he was a starter in the three matches played by his team, and in April he was crowned champion of the Dallas Cup in the super U-17 category by defeating Monterrey in the final by a score of 1-0.
Angulo would continue with his development in the basic forces and for the 2015 Apertura he moved up to the Under 20 category in his first tournament he won the championship by defeating Club Tijuana in the final on penalties.
With these performances, the player managed to make his debut with the Santos Laguna first team in 2017 in a Copa México match, in which he was a starter in his team's victory against Fútbol Club Juárez by a score of 2-0.
Finally, Angulo would see all his efforts rewarded when he was allowed to make his first division debut in Santos' away defeat against Cruz Azul, a duel in which he entered at the 60th minute in place of Ventura Alvarado.
And when everything indicated that the player would remain with the Guerreros after winning the title with them, a new challenge would come for the player.
On June 23, 2019, his loan to Atlas was announced, a team that had always given good tournaments in its regular phase, but had failed to take the next step in the Liguilla.
However, after the arrival of Angulo and other talented players such as Julio Furch, Atlas was crowned champion of the Liga MX, thus attracting the attention of another Mexican soccer great.
Tigres would be the team with which Angulo would start his new adventure in Mexican soccer, in search of becoming one of the young stars of Liga MX 2022.
