Which teams are fighting for the top spot in the overall standings of Liga MX 2022?

3 teams can take the lead of the general table of Liga MX 2022 as they accumulate the same amount of points in 3 Rounds.

Those teams are Puebla, Cruz Azul, and Atlas, each with 6 points. However, the difference is in which team has the most goals scored, and in this area, Puebla has a clear advantage.

La Franja accumulates 6 goals scored, two more than Atlas, which gives it a great advantage at the beginning of the tournament, in which Pumas UNAM had surprised by taking the lead in the table with its resounding defeat of Toluca in its debut match.

And although Andrés Lillini's Universitarios also won their second match with a 3-1 lead against Querétaro, their 2-1 loss to Tigres at home took them out of the fight for the lead

Another team that is going like a real machine is Cruz Azul, which has scored 5 goals in its first 3 games, just one behind Puebla.

After breaking the curse that had been hanging over them for more than 17 years without winning the tournament, La Máquina is on a winning streak and it seems they want another title to prove what happened in the Guard1anes Clausura 2021 Tournament was not a matter of luck.

Which are the worst teams in Liga MX 2022?

This infamous recognition goes to two teams in the 2022 Mexican League, and curiously enough, they are the two newcomers to the maximum circuit of Mexican soccer: Mazatlan FC and Atletico San Luis

Both teams have just arrived in Liga MX, the first in 2019 and the second is 2020, so, normally, in their first years, they are having a hard time accumulating points.

However, they must put more effort into their upcoming matches if they want to stay in the competition as neither of these two clubs has scored points in the current tournament.

And if one were to guess the reason, the answer seems simple: both teams have the weakest defenses in the tournament.

For example, Mazatlan FC has 1 goal for and 5 against, while Atletico San Luis has no goals for and 4 against, which is why they are at the bottom of the table.
