In Club América they know that they need to make real changes from within if they want to leave the current crisis they currently are in, as they haven’t been able to leave the bottom of the table of Clausura 2022 even if Santiago Solari is no longer on the team.

The requests of Carlos Vela to arrive in Club América

Las Águilas followers are also asking for the dismissal of Club América chairman Santiago Baños, who hasn’t been able to win a Liga MX title since 2018, something that could happen in the next few days, as reports of the arrival of Daniel Brailovsky in El Nido are stronger by the day.

Brailovsky knows Las Águilas very well, as he played from 1982 to 1985 in Club América, where he won three titles. He also coached them in the 2007-08 season, showing that he’s someone that identifies with the club and knows what’s best for the Azulcremas.

Whether he arrives in El Nido or not, Las Águilas are looking to follow the things Brailovsky has said are missing in today’s Americanismo: having players of renown in the roster and strengthen it with the academy teams, which is why they are considering pursuing the addition of Carlos Vela.

Can Vela arrive in Club América?

Carlos Vela currently is playing his last season with Los Angeles FC, team he joined in 2018 as a Designated Player. But given that he has less than six months left on his contract, he can start negotiating with any club that wants to acquire him for the next season.

According to reports, Vela doesn’t have Liga MX on his radar, as his priority is renewing with LAFC, moving back to Europe or if hi stays in MLS, joining Inter Miami FC, as he believes that Miami is a good place to raise his child. But he could change his mind if a good offer from Liga MX arrives.

What is Carlos Vela asking to move back to Mexico?

According to reports by John Sutcliffe, Emilio Azcárraga is interested in a player with the features of Carlos Vela, which will revalue not only Club América but also the different brands of Televisa. That’s why he would consider paying him a salary around $4.5 million, a figure similar to the one Vela is earning in LAFC.

To consider accepting the offer of Club América, Vela would also ask to have security with him and his family 24/7, and house that’s far from Mexico City that has all the latest technology gadgets, given that he values his privacy.
