After this weekend’s games, two things are clear in Liga MX: Club América are a disaster with Santiago Solari on the bench and Club Puebla is a real contender and are after their third Liga MX championship and first in over 30 years.
This coach is ready to replace Santiago Solari in Club América
Although La Franja was able to play in Liguilla with Juan Reynoso a season before Nicolás Larcamón arrived in Puebla, after the Argentinian coach took over Los Camoteros, they’ve become one of the most regular teams in Liga MX, something that’s even more impressing if it’s taken in consideration that they have achieved it being the roster with the lowest market value -just $22.7 million-.
The outstanding performances of Nicolás Larcamón and his “Larcaboys” are already opening doors for the young coach, as he’s been linked with Chivas, Mexico National Team and now Club América, as Emilio Azcárraga grew tired of the disappointments of Solari.
After his first tournament as La Franja coach, where Club Puebla reached the semifinals of Liga MX for the first time since 2009, Larcamón renewed his contract with Puebla until the end of 2022, but Los Camoteros placed a release clause of $900,000, given that his work system started attracting interest from other teams.
Is Larcamón the coach that Mexico National Team needs?
