After the events between Gallos and Atlas, the lease of the property will be reviewed to check if any omission was made in the contract and to terminate it.

The Secretary of Government of Querétaro, Guadalupe Murguía, acknowledged that the lease of the Corregidora Stadium will be reviewed to check if any omission was made in the contract and to rescind it in case it is found that any commitment was violated, after the violent acts reported in the match against Atlas.

"I will refer to the lease contract, we will have to identify if in the terms of the lease there was an omission that could terminate it, but it would be through civil proceedings, talking about the lease," said the Secretary of Government of Querétaro, Guadalupe Murguía.

Los Gallos de Querétaro have the concession of the Corregidora Stadium, so they will have to prove that they have complied with all the provisions of the lease agreement in order to continue using the stadium as their home.

Security should have been provided by the team

The authorities of the government of Querétaro acknowledged that security inside the building is the responsibility of "private individuals", and also assured that there will be sanctions against those who are accused, regardless of whether they belong to the club.

"The security of the stadium is a private responsibility, which is why I have summoned Mikel Arriola, president of Liga MX, and Gabriel Solares, president of Gallos. I recognize that the state of public force was insufficient and was not applied in the way it was merited," commented Mauricio Kuri, governor of the State of Querétaro.

"The security company did not bring all the elements it should have brought for the event," confirmed the entity's Secretariat of the Interior.

Los Gallos changed management in 2020, and as a result, it was taken over by Gabriel Solares, a former Atlante manager.

So far, investigation files have been opened to identify the possible perpetrators, although no arrests have been reported in connection with the brawl that took place at the Corregidora Stadium and left at least 26 people injured.

As of midday this Sunday, no closing seals have been placed on the main gate of La Corregidora, nor is there any police presence to guard the building.
