Club América hasn’t been able to close most of the deals they’ve been involved at the start of Clausura 2022, but Santiago Solari is still in need for a striker that can complement Roger Martínez, as Henry Martín hasn’t been reliable in the pitch.

And after a disappointing start for the second leg of 2021-22 Liga MX Season, where they’ve only earned a point in two games, the urgency for adding a striker grows by the minute. They were hoping on the acquisition of 20-year-old Argentinian striker Pablo Solari, but Colo-Colo refused to sell him as they’re going to dispute Copa Libertadores this year.
They were also linked to current Liga MX Champion, Julio Furch, and Las Águilas were ready to start negotiations with the 32-year-old striker, but Santiago Baños stopped the conversations alleging that Henry Martín was enough for Club América.

Although Furch missed most of his second tournament with Atlas for an ankle surgery, he’s been a regular in the starting XI for Los Zorros. So far, he’s played a total of 30 games, and he’s managed to score 11 goals and 3 assistances.
