Cruz Azul is once again bidding for a player that has been denied in recent years, but this may be the last time and may bring a surprise to the offense of La Máquina, Julio Furch, who is once again in the orbit of the Cementeros for the Apertura 2022.
In recent weeks it has been rumored that Celeste president Jaime Ordiales is already working on the next reinforcements and although it is said that he has his eyes set on South American soccer, he is not ruling out the Liga MX market either, so the Argentinean striker who plays for Atlas would not be a bad option for the Celestes.
La Máquina currently lacks a lethal attack, as, after the departure of Bryan Angulo, the discarded Rómulo Otero, and the irregular Santi Giménez, the Cementeros have faltered in that sector, but if Furch finally arrives, he could orchestrate a dangerous partnership with Ángel Romero.
Although nothing has been made official and the transfer window is just beginning to cook, let's not rule out that this contract could finally happen since it is not the first time that he has sounded for La Máquina, as there has been interest since 2019, just when he played for Santos.
If the board at La Noria is serious about the striker, it would have to open its wallet and pay at least 7 million dollars, but it will surely be well spent.
Whether that happens or not, Cruz Azul will have to close the Clausura 2022 with dignity, which has been full of ups and downs, so if they want to stay alive in the Liga MX Playoffs, they will have to overcome Tigres at home this Sunday in the second leg.
