Club Chivas would choose Juan Carlos Osorio as its new coach. The Colombian was in charge of leading the Mexican national team to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

After the dismissal of Marcelo Michel Leaño from the coaching position at Chivas, several rumors have arisen regarding his possible replacement; one of them links Juan Carlos Osorio to the Rebaño.
According to journalist Gustavo Mendoza, the so-called “Predicador” is on the list of candidates for Chivas.
The Chivas board has even spoken to Juan Carlos Osorio, who was recently dismissed from his native country's América de Cali. For now, Ricardo Cadena is in charge of Guadalajara after Marcelo Michel Leaño failed to consolidate a winning team.
Having worked during a World Cup cycle with the Mexican national team is not the only experience Juan Carlos Osorio has had in our country. In 2011, he coached Club Puebla for eleven matches, in which his results and performance were discreet, and he ended up leaving the position.
It should be noted that Juan Carlos Osorio's time with the Mexican national team was quite controversial due to his controversial rotations and style of play. However, he left a good taste in the mouths of the directors because his results and effectiveness with El Tri were unobjectionable.
Unfortunately for the fans of Club Chivas, it is not Juan Carlos Osorio who is the preferred candidate, but Matías Almeyda.
However, it seems very complicated, if not impossible, for Matías Almeyda to return to the Rebaño Sagrado, where he won five titles.
The Argentinean coach did not leave on the best of terms after his first stint in the fold, and there is even talk that he almost came to blows with Amaury Vergara, the team's owner.
What other teams could Matías Almeyda join if Chivas doesn't get him?
