Strong rumors from different media outlets indicate that Chivas are looking for Paolo Yrizar in the transfer market as a reinforcement for Liga MX 2022

The Mexican striker, who currently plays in the Liga Expansión of Mexican soccer, has attracted the attention of Guadalajara's board of directors, according to media.

Yrizar has had a great tournament with his current team, Dorados de Sinaloa, and according to different media reports, he will be the next bet of the Rojiblanco team.

In this way, Chivas is looking to replace Oribe Peralta and Jesus Godinez, who have confirmed that they are leaving the team.

It is important to note that this is not the first time Yrizar has been on Chivas' radar, as in 2017 Matias Almeyda sought him out, but failed to sign him.

The Guadalajara team's urgency in seeking this striker would be to shore up the team ahead of the Liga MX 2022 tournament, to cover the absences of Peralta and Godínez, a player who was loaned to Querétaro

Who is Paolo Yrizar and why does Chivas want him as a reinforcement?

The 24-year-old forward began his career with the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro, under coach Víctor Manuel Vucetich, when he was only 18 years old.

Paolo played a total of 40 games with that team, in which he scored just one goal. He later moved on to Tijuana and Toluca, teams in which he played without glory.

However, when he arrived at Dorados, his life changed: with his current team he has played 18 games and has scored a total of 6 goals.

In addition, his participation in the team has been fundamental for his squad to play in the semi-final against Tampico Madero, in the Banorte stadium.

Yrizar has also been in the Mexican national team, both in the senior and youth squads. In the former, he played a friendly match against Trinidad and Tobago.

In the latter, he participated in the U20 World Cup, which took place in Korea in 2017, as well as in the Pan American Games in Lima in 2019.

According to Mexican media reports, the interest in the player comes directly from the team's coach, Marcelo Michel Leaño

According to Transfermarkt, the Dorados player is currently valued at more than $450,000, which would be a relatively low investment for what the team has paid in the past for other players.

For example, in the past the team has paid up to US$10 million for the transfer of Oribe Peralta, who this year leaves the team with a much lower performance than was expected of him.

The other reinforcement that Guadalajara is looking for before the next tournament

Another element that has awakened interest in Chivas is the young Atlante player Armando Escobar, 28 years old, who also comes from the Liga Expansión.

According to information available on Transfermarkt, the player accumulated six goals and four assists in the current tournament, in addition to having played more than 1,561 minutes in the tournament.
