The firings of coaches in Liga MX continue and the most recent was that of Pablo Guede, who was fired by Necaxa, which is about to confirm Jaime Lozano as his replacement.
Although rumors placed the "Actor" as the best-positioned candidate to coach the mexican national soccer team in place of Gerardo Martino, this version has now been disproved with the arrival of Lozano at Necaxa.
It is no secret that the Rayos del Necaxa has had a terrible Clausura 2022: in their first match of the season against Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti's Bravos de Juárez with a score of 2-1, and later in Round 2, they lost again to the Rayados.
However, the defeat against Monterrey was much more scandalous as it was by a 4-0 scoreline, from which they were able to recover a little in their subsequent match against Santos, with a score of 4-1.
However, last Saturday Guede's team returned to the path of defeat, with another drubbing, this time by the Tuzos of Pachuca, who mercilessly ran over the "hydrocalidos" with a score of 3-1, which made the coach's permanence in the team untenable.
Jaime Lozano is one of the most desired coaches in Liga MX since before being linked to Necaxa, the player was linked to teams such as Houston Dynamo, Chivas, LA Galaxy, and even the Mexican national team.
However, everything seems to indicate that the Rayos will be the next team to be coached by the "Actor", who has previous experience coaching teams such as Queretaro and more recently, the Mexican National Team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where the national team won the Bronze Medal.
According to journalist David Medrano, Jaime Lozano would arrive with his entire coaching staff at Necaxa, which includes Miguel de Jesus Fuentes, Anibal Gonzalez, and Ryota Nishimura.
According to Mexican media, the agreement between the Rayos' board of directors and Lozano was closed on Monday night, after the board evaluated the results obtained by Guede in Liga MX 2022.
Pablo Guede had barely managed to accumulate 3 points in the current tournament but had been one of the worst scoring teams in the tournament, with 10 goals conceded.
It is more than clear that Lozano's arrival at Necaxa if confirmed, is driven more by his success with the Mexican national team at Tokyo 20202 than his performance as a coach in Liga MX.
On that occasion, Lozano coached 27 games for the Gallos Blancos of Querétaro, winning 7, drawing 7, and losing 13.
