However, Tigres' roster looks full at the moment and the "Volcan" team has not expressed that it is looking for another player, after the complicated transfer of Carlos Salcedo to Toronto FC. 

Another team he could join would be FC Juárez, a team managed by Ricardo "Tuca" Ferretti, who already knows Damm and who recently repatriated a Mexican player who was in the MLS: Carlos Fierro. 

Chivas could also take advantage of the fact that Damm is Mexican and is currently a free agent, so money would not be a complication, and the player could fight for prominence.

Could Mexican teams still sign Jürgen Damm?

It would seem that no, since the period for registering new players in Liga MX 2022 ended on February 1, but the tournament has given a new extension for teams to finish reinforcing for the Clausura 2022. 

This new deadline is established in article 37 of Liga MX, in the section on registrations outside the registration period, which establishes that teams may register up to a maximum of two players after the close of the winter market.
