It’s no lie to say that Julio Furch has been one of the most consistent strikers that has arrived in Liga MX in the past decade, as he adapted instantly to Mexican soccer since he first joined Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz back in 2015.
Did Camilo Vargas play his last game with Atlas in the final of Clausura 2022?
The 32-year-old Argentine forward has contributed to the three teams he’s played for in Liga MX, as he’s scored 117 goals so far in the seven seasons that he’s been in Mexican soccer, being in Santos Laguna where he thrived the most, as he scored 69 goals for Los Guerreros.
Although he arrived at Atlas FC just 18 months ago, he’s already played 47 games and has scored 18 goals, including the one that defined the final of Apertura 2021, where Atlas where able to break a 71-year drought without a Liga MX title. But now that he’s proven the quality of player that he is, his future could be in one of Liga MX’s biggest teams.
Regarding of the result in the final of Clausura 2022 between Pachuca and Atlas, Julio Furch might be on the move once the summer transfer window opens, as reports from La Octava Sports, Club América doesn’t stop their pursue for the Argentine striker, as they’ve been trying to sign him since before Clausura 2022 started, and now are ready to make a new offer for him.
Furch is considering the option of joining Las Águilas, as he knows it is a bigger showcase for him to make it into the Mexican National Team now that he’s just waiting to receive his naturalization letter to be able to receive the call up from Gerardo “Tata” Martino. Added to that, Club América is willing to double him his current salary, as he earns less than $1 million with Los Rojinegros.
But the Argentine striker also knows that he’s found a great team in Atlas, and that he has the opportunity of playing an international tournament with Los Rojinegros, as they will play the CONCACAF Champions League, something that can help him boost his career prior to the World Cup.
