Alejandro Irraragori, chairman of Grupo Orlegi, already bought Atlas from TV Azteca after owning Santos Laguna in Liga MX and Tampico Madero FC in Mexico’s second flight, but that hasn’t stopped the Mexican entrepreneur of looking to buy another team.

His sports business model has characterized in one thing: exchanging players between his teams in order to help them become protagonists in the league, something that has helped both Santos Laguna and Atlas, as they’ve been champions with Grupo Orlegi administrating the teams.
Now, the 50-year-old businessman is after another club in order to expand his business model. But this time, outside Mexico. According to reports, Irraragori and Grupo Orlegi have set their eyes in Spanish side Real Zaragoza, who currently plays in Spain’s second flight and going through financial problems.
Although rumors have been going around about his interest on acquiring another Liga MX club, commissions and taxes in Mexico for owning multiple teams are high, which is why he’s set to expand in other leagues.
