Javier Hernández, the Mexican striker who currently plays for LA Galaxy and who has had a good preseason with the Californian team for the 2022 MLS campaign, revealed through Twitch the amount he will accept to return to Chivas de Guadalajara.
MLS Salary Cap and highest-paid MLS players
Streaming on his Twitch channel playing Warzone alongside Rivers and ElMariana, the latter asked the player how much he would agree to return to Chivas for.
The former Manchester United player replied, "One million," he said, but then jokingly corrected. "Not true, five million [bits] for my channel."
According to Twitch's website, bits are items that users purchase to send a message to the streamer. Acquiring 100 bits costs 33 Mexican pesos. If we compare the supposed million bits that Chicharito asked for, Chivas would have to give him 330 thousand pesos; if we take the figure of five million, this equals 1 million 650 thousand pesos.
Javier Hernandez currently earns $6 million dollars a year with the MLS team, which is equivalent to more than 121 million Mexican pesos a year.
If we compare what he receives with LA Galaxy and what he would ask from Chivas through Bits, the Mexican would practically be offering himself for free to the Mexican team.
Chicharito played for Chivas from 2006 to 2010 scoring a total of 24 goals before moving to England to play for Manchester United where the Mexican made his name. Javier scored 60 goals and provided 11 assists for the Red Devils, before moving on to Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham United, Sevilla, and finally LA Galaxy.
