Who is the player who left his team in the middle of the Liguilla and one day before Club América vs Pachuca?

The player in question is Yairo Moreno, Pachuca's Colombian left-winger, who has left Guillermo Almada's squad incomplete for tonight's vital duel, in which the Tuzos are looking for a ticket to the final.

Moreno spoke to Almada and let him know that he would be leaving the team for family reasons and that he would have to travel to Colombia, so the coach considered that it is very difficult for the player to return to play for the Tuzos in the remainder of 2022. 

And according to Mexican media reports, Almada's opinion is that the player is unlikely to return to the team since he said goodbye to his teammates and even when the board allowed him to reconsider, the player decided to go ahead with his departure from the team.

Although most of the team members did not agree with the way the situation unfolded, they respected his decision and wished him the best. The Colombian media even confirmed the version of the Mexican media that the player had already said goodbye to his team.

And both the coach and the team decided to keep the news of the player's departure in total secrecy, so the information is just being released, leaving the Tuzos without one of their players. 

Yairo Moreno left his team and not for the reasons he said

Although these have been the coach's statements regarding the player's departure from his team a few days before playing the semifinal of the tournament, it is known that since the arrival of Guillermo Almada, he and Yairo Moreno have not maintained a good relationship. 

According to press reports, the coach arrived at the club and dismissed Moreno from the first team, sending him to play with the U-20 squad, which would have caused the player to feel less appreciated by his new coach. 

In the entire Clausura 2022 tournament Moreno only accumulated ten games, none of them as a starter, for a total of 284 minutes on the field, with one goal scored and no assists. And since Round 16 of the tournament the player has not been seen with the team.

It is therefore understood that his departure could have taken place as early as the beginning of May, which is why his coach, teammates, and team had to keep his departure a secret. 

In that Round 16, Moreno played 20 minutes as a substitute in Pachuca's 3-0 victory over Rayados, so that would be his last match in Liga MX.

Therefore, although Moreno had said that he was leaving the team for family reasons, the truth is that he left because of the bad relationship he had with Almada.
