Emilio Azcárraga gave an ultimatum to everyone in Club América except for Santiago Baños

For Clausura 2022, Club América has had one of the worst starts in Liga MX in the story if short tournaments, as they only have one point and currently stand 14, something that didn’t please Emilio Azcárraga, owner of Las Águilas.

It only took him five days to realize all the things that are wrong inside Las Águilas camp, something that Santiago Baños hasn’t been able to do in the three years he’s been Club América chairman, but he was the only want that wasn’t part of the ultimatum that Azcárraga gave to the club.

Club América’s owner isn’t happy with the results Santiago Solari has achieved during his first year as Las Águilas coach, as the club has been eliminated in quarterfinals two times. That’s why Azcárraga talked with everyone, letting them know there will be consequences if they don’t win Liga MX title.

Who will be the first to be fired if Club América fails?

For this season, Solari finally had some of the acquisitions he asked, so it’s his last chance to prove why he’s worthy of being in Club América’s bench. If he doesn’t manage to win Liga MX championship, he’ll be the first one to be fired.
